Martin Pashley MBIPDT

MANAGING DIRECTOR  /  TRAINER

Martin joined the Royal Army Veterinary Corp (RAVC) in early 1988 and during this time has set up and run various dog training clubs for the local and military communities in the areas he has served.

After leaving the RAVC in September 2000, he became director of operations for Grosvenor International Services ‘GIS’, training dog and handlers for the civilian sector, in order to search schools and licensed premises.
In 2001 Martin took the post of Instructional Officer (IO2) for the MOD – one of only 6 posts available in the world [at this time], duties ranging from training dogs and handlers to procuring dogs countrywide.
2 years later plans were starting to take place to set up and run his own business ‘Happy Dogs’ helping the pet dog sector. This ranges from consultations, 1-2-1 training (dog, handler or both), training courses, dog walking, agility, grooming, specialised working dogs, supplying pet food & equipment.
In 2004 ‘Happy Dogs’ became fully operational and is still going strong!

Martin is a ‘Full’ member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers BIPDT (since 1998).

Martin also takes on another role with the Exmouth Swimming and Life Saving Society as Assistant Swimming Instructor and Chairman for the Society Committee, as well as assisting at Galas as Announcer. He enjoys taking part and building the children’s water confidence skills – a very important community sport, living so close to the water.
